WVBCC Meeting Minutes
April 3, 2021
The meeting was called to order by Mark Mason, President at 10:41AM.
The meeting was held at Kevin Robert’s garage.
Members Present:, Mark Mason, Josh Miller, Dave Chenoweth, Charles Hypes, Charles & Cindra Justice, Bill Michael, Richard Reese, Dan Blackwood, George White. Jim Patrick, Kevin & Teresa Halloran, Kevin & Jennifer Roberts, Ken Rubin, Bob Mullins, Richard Stephenson, Jamie Chenoweth, Jack Sampson, Marty & Bowman Martin and Dave King.
Special Recognition: We sang Happy Birthday to Mark Mason.
Kevin had a door prize and Charles Hypes won the British hat.
Projects: Jamie Chenoweth gave us an update on the restoration of his E type Jag. The project is going very well and Jamie is very proud of what he is accomplishing.
Bill Michael gave and update on his TR6 engine. He and Kevin are working diligently to identify the source of the vacuum leak.
Jack Sampson talked about a carb issue on his GT-6.
Items of Interest:
Mark thanked Kevin Roberts for hosting and Bill Michael for filling in for Bill Hall.
Jamie talked about doing upholstery and the glue that is required. His now a dealer for upholstery and the glue. He has ordered a 5 Gal. Can which is the minimum and is offering it to club members for $20/qt. Kevin Roberts indicated that he wants a qt. or maybe a gallon.
Kevin Halloran gave us an update on our cruise this spring. He has been driving potential roads to see what will be safe for our cars. The rally will begin at Hardings and end at the Yacht Club. He also mentioned some of the terms that will be used. We’ll do it sometime in May. He will investigate an app for our phones (richta competitor). Kevin also mentioned a car show in Gauley Bridge on July 3rd.
Several members have had their virus vaccination.
Dan suggested the revival of Pistons & Pints. Mark said we can start May 15th.
Kevin is hosting a cookout on the 17th of April. This will be a Pistons & Pints event. The food will be catered by a local Jamaican restaurant. He will also grill hamburgers and hot dogs. Kevin mentioned that he also wanted to have movie night on the 17th. We’ll be watching Ford vs Ferrari.
Charlie Justice talked about upcoming cruises.
Amish country overnight cruise. His son lives in Mt. Vernon, OH and he volunteered to have a bar-b-que for us. It would be near Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Perhaps early summer before the weather gets too hot. He talked with a car show director and we would have a reserved space at the show.
Bill mentioned the coffee mugs and ink pens that are available.
