Minutes of Meeting
June 6, 2020
Members Present were: Eric Stueber, Larry Kopelman, Barry McCoy, Roger McCoy, Jack Sampson, David Neal, Mike Berlin, George White, Jim Patrick, Josh Miller, Dan Blackwood, Mark Mason, Nathan Arnett, Bill Michael, Bob Denyer, Richard Reese, Charles Hypes, Margie Miller, William Hall, Kevin Halloran.
The meeting was called to order by Bill Michael, President, at approximately 10:40 AM. The meeting was held at the St. Albans roadside park in one of the picnic shelters.
Bill introduced Eric Stueber, new member and the proud owner of a Land Rover.
He then reviewed last Saturday’s Hawk’s Nest Cruise, where we had a near record number of cars and participants. We received some very good free publicity from a TV interview by Cassidy Wood of Channel 13 WOWK. The interview of Bill and various film footage was broadcast that evening for the 6PM and 11PM news.
He also reviewed our Flash Cruise on May 23rd from the Sonic Drive In in St. Albans to the Sonic at Barboursville which also had good participation.
Meeting Venue: Bill led a discussion of possible different meeting venues. The Golden Corral will not be able to accommodate us as they have in the past since the Pandemic. The meeting room has been closed and the restaurant has converted to a cafeteria style. Also the restaurant now opens at 11AM, thus, we would have to alter our meeting time and conduct the meeting in a corner the general seating area of the building.
Thus, at least during the warm weather months, it was agreed to do the meeting in a variety of outdoor venues that have shelters (and facilities). Richard Reese volunteered his garage in Teays Valley for the July meeting, which will occur on July 4th, as it is the first Saturday in the month. We will have coffee and donuts prior to the meeting which is scheduled to begin at 10:30AM.
Upcoming Shows & Cruises:
Mid Ohio Vintage Grand Prix: June 25th – 28th. The featured marque for 2020 is Triumph and Kas Kastner is to attend. Due to the COVID-19, however, only participants will be allowed entry to the event, no spectators.

Townsend, TN, July 31st thru Aug 3rd:
Wayne Long, of the Mon Valley Sports Car Club has invited us to join him and other members to attend the “Summer in the Smokies British Car Show” to be held in Townsend, TN. The show will be in a field adjacent to the Tally Ho Inn, where a number of participants will be lodging.
